"Each of us must come to care about everyone else's children. We must recognize that the welfare of our children is intimately linked to the welfare of all other people's children. After all, when one of our children needs life-saving surgery, someone else's child will perform it. If one of our children is harmed by violence, someone else's child will be responsible for the violent act. The good life for our own children can be secured only if a good life is also secured for all other people's children." Lillian Katz,

Hi Naquetta,
ReplyDeleteI particularly like LBJ'S quote regarding the welfare of our children. It's not a solo operation anymore and in reality, it never was. It truly does take a village to raise a child. And just as he said, we have to remember to foster and provide for all kids in our communities, schools and organizations and not just focus on the individual growth and development. It is so true to remember what we are building and supporting, they will be expected to do the same one day and it is our responsibility to teach them, just so.
